What is the difference between a custom home and a spec home?
Custom homes are fully customizable and built from the ground up, based on your vision. Spec homes are pre-designed and built by our team, so it isn’t as customizable. But it does offer a quicker move-in with the same high-quality materials and craftsmanship.

I have a plot of land. How can I build a custom home on it?
If you already own a plot of land, we can come out and assess it to start the custom home building process. We will provide tailored home building recommendations based on the location of your lot.

How long does the custom home building process take?
The timeline for building a custom home depends on the size and complexity of the home. On average, the process takes around 6-12 months from start to finish.

What is a high-performance home, and why do I want one?
A high-performance home is designed to be more energy-efficient, comfortable, and low-maintenance compared to other homes built to code. Our homes meet Energy-Star Efficient standards and use the best materials to save you money on energy and improve your home’s longevity.

While we are based in Tyler, we build homes all across East Texas, including Flint, Troup, Bullard, and surrounding areas.

Can I customize a spec home?
You may be able to customize a spec home, and this can largely depend on when you buy the home. If the home is in the early stages of construction, you may be able to make minor changes, such as flooring, appliances, finishes, fixtures, and paint colors. However, you may not be able to make changes if it is later in the construction process.
